Bubur Som Som - 2 Recipes

Dessert which Mr Hubby requested...also during Ramadan baru minta buatkan..hehe ..the recipe below, was edited... the last time, I think I tersalah letak air for the sugar tu terbanyak sangat..so tercairlah siapa yang buat tu..sorry banyak2 ya...so this time I letak anggaran air gulanya tu terpulanglah how much pekat consistency preferred and the gula pun terpulang berapa manis nak..

The above, I just saja2 letak gula melaka nak kasi dia ada colour sikit...kalau tak macam air aje nampak air gulanya tu..hehe..

Ingredients:-
Recipe 1.
100g rice flour
25g Hoen Kwee flour
1 packet coconut milk(200ml) + water (500ml)
salt to taste
Method:-
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl till incorporated. Strained and put to boil in a saucepan. Stir till mixture thickens. When it starts to cuddle, turn off heat. Transfer mixture into a 7" tray and using the ladle to flatten it .Steam the mixture in a steamer for 30 minutes or till cook.

Recipe 2.
1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 cup corn flour
1200ml coconut milk (450 -500 ml thick coconut milk + rest water, mix)
Salt to taste
Pandan leaves.

Method same as above.
Cook till thickens & bubble up like kuih kole2.Arrange in moulds & let it cool. No need steam for this recipe.

SUGAR SYRUP:-
250ml -500ml water-sorry just edited-depends how thick or thin preferred

1-2 pandan leaves
6 tbsp sugar-(Up to taste)

Put all the ingredients to boil to form sugar syrup.Boil till slightly thickens.

Cut the rice cake and top with sugar syrup to go along with it. Ready to be serve.

mas - akak bubur som2 ni tak berapa..hehe hubby akak & my mak yang suka..pandai mas makan ya..

yatiali - aah my mum pun suka ni yati..

emme - aah emme, ada yg suka letak gula kabung(gula melaka) ..tapi my family suka yang gula pasir ni..hehe
